About Us
In the month of June 2001, we purchased a new Yamaha Vstar 1100 Custom. This came about, in large part, due to our friends Gary and Donna. They live up in Denver and turned us on to biking in the mountains. We went to visit them earlier in the year and when we got back, we had the fever. So, after about 10 years without a bike, we are back in the saddle again.
Since we got the bike, we have both gotten a severe case of the clapp. That is Chrome, Leather, Accessories, Paint and Performance (bet you thought that was the sabre tooth crotch critters, huh?).
Anyway, we have made some changes to the the bike, check out our Accessories and Mods pages for bike changes made and changes to come.
When we first got our bike, we were actively searching for other like minded people to ride with. We had several clubs that we had decided to join and/or ride with. One of the clubs that we joined is the International Star Riders Association or ISRA. ISRA is a Yamaha specific club and the local chapters of the club are called constellations. The chapter that we have joined is the Celestial Cruisers constellation. The Celestial Cruisers have members scattered throughout the North Texas area.
The other club that we had joined was the The Southern Cruisers. They are an International club that is not bike specific and has an emphasis on riding.
We have since moved on and just decided to ride as Independent's. However, there are still alot of good people in both groups to ride with.
